How to Market Your Digital Art & Make It Shareable on Instagram

It’s so easy to take a lovely photograph and publish it on social media sites like Instagram, but many artists don’t know how to market their work and share it on Instagram. Well, you’re in luck! Here are some tips on marketing your digital art on Instagram.

Keeping your artwork fresh by posting new photos regularly: One of the biggest problems with marketing digital artwork is that everyone else has done it too. If you have a monthly photo or video schedule, then there is no reason why you shouldn’t do the same. You can post your photo on Instagram, Twitter, and Tumblr. Posting your art to all three social media sites will keep your art fresh and provide much more exposure for it.

Using hashtags

Hashtags are an excellent way to see your work by a larger demographic. You can also use them to connect with other artists who share similar interests and keep your image in the feeds of people who may not have seen it before. If you don’t know hashtags for art, type #art into the Instagram search field, and you’ll find many artists of all styles.

Posting to other social media sites

Make sure to post your digital art the same way you post your stock photography on Instagram. In addition, as mentioned above, you can post to other social media sites like Tumblr and Twitter. These posts will allow people who aren’t on Instagram to see your artwork and hopefully help draw traffic from those other platforms.

Incorporating video into your marketing plan

Video is also a very effective way of marketing both traditional and digital artwork. It’s one of the best ways to showcase your art. Video is handy for artists because people respond to visual imagery much more than text. In addition, the video gives you a chance to show your work in motion and share some of the emotions that made you fall in love with photography in the first place.

Making lists

You can use lists on social media to keep viewers interested and remind them that you are releasing more content. For example, you can create a list called “Coming Soon” or “What’s on My Camera.” This will help to keep people interested in your work and connect with your site. Lists are also great for drawing attention to new galleries you’ve just released.

These are just some simple tips for marketing your digital art on Instagram and getting more shares. The most important thing is to keep posting to Instagram, Twitter, and Tumblr at least once a week, if not more often.
