Student group environmental sculpture for the Andy Goldsworthy ChallengeIn partnership with the Wenatchee School District, the Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center, and the Performing Arts Center of Wenatchee, Art on the Avenues once again supported a rich and rewarding artistic experience for fifth graders from all of Wenatchee’s public elementary schools and The River Academy. This year, a total of 578 students had the opportunity to view and sketch some of our community sculpture, to learn from artist Kevin Petelle, to create collaborative environmental art and their own small bronze sculptures.
