AOTA Awarded Community Foundation Regional Impact Grant

AOTA is honored to be awarded one of only 25 Regional Impact Grants from the Community Foundation of NCW. This grant, along with its new crowdfunding component, Give NCW, will help us to continue to provide programs such as our two-year sculpture exhibit, Beauty of Bronze program and more as we make some exciting and necessary changes within our organization. Adele Wolford, founder and current president, will be passing the torch to the next generation of staff in this new phase of our organization. Your donation will help support general operations, programming and education to ensure that art remains on our avenues to be enjoyed by residents and tourists for years to come. Please consider donating – we appreciate your support!

The Community Foundation of NCWas awarded $225,000 in Regional Impact Grants (RIG) to 25 nonprofits in North Central Washington. As an extension of the RIG program, the foundation announces its new crowdfunding campaign, Give NCW. The nonprofit organizations who received RIG awards will be participants in Give NCW, an online giving catalog that opens Thanksgiving Day through December 31.
Each of the Give NCW participants has a larger goal to complete their project – the foundation has awarded a portion of their project through the RIG and is inviting the public to learn more about the nonprofit work in their community and help complete these projects by donating at GiveNCW.org. “Historically, our grant program only awarded up to $5,000 – and while that was helping these organizations get by, we didn’t think we were making the impact we could” said Denise Sorom, Director of Community Philanthropy. “When we upgraded our database technology, one of the features was an online grant catalog – we knew this was a great opportunity to change philanthropy in our region.”

With a minimum gift of $10, anyone can support one or more projects that span the areas of art, environment, education, social service, and public benefit in communities across North Central Washington.
The Community Foundation will be offering $1,000 Bonus Days each week as incentive to engage the public and encourage giving.
